Guidelines for completing Camp Reports

Camp reports are a very important way (and are a requirement of directing a camp) of reporting back to the governance board of CYC Waihola (also known as the Council of Management).
We require you to write a Camp Report for the camping sub-committee. This report is designed to share:
  • relevant statistics from the camp
  • names of the leadership team
  • subjects of the Bible talks
  • positive points of the camp
  • any problems encountered
  • new ideas tried
  • and address the highs and lows of the camp as you see it.
You can also use this report to make any recommendations to the Camping Committee for future camp planning or strategic planning purposes. This camp report is not made public and is only available to the Camping Committee and the Council of Management along with any other relevant sub-committees.
It is also in this report that you make us aware of any safety concerns, maintenance issues, etc. that you might have seen during your time here.
A camp report must be completed as soon as possible after camp.
Some example camp reports (these camp reports do not contain confidential information so are ok for us to use as examples):

Guidelines for Completing Leaders Reviews

Here are some guidelines for completing the Leaders Reviews forms which can be really hard to complete sometimes especially since after camp you just want to rest.

Please use these as guidelines only – don’t copy and paste them into all your leaders reviews because that is not fair to the leader that has given up their time and efforts to attend camp and wants well thought out review of their performance.
